The Alexandre Foundation works to help meet the needs of children, adults, and families with mental, physical, or chronic health conditions or disabilities. We will provide services based on individuals’ income level and needs.
Children and Youth Referral Services
Services to children and adolescents cover a broad spectrum of needs, including day care, afterschool programs, foster care, case management, adoption, summer camps, and group homes.
Housing Information Services
We provide information on independent living programs for individuals with psychiatric disabilities, and public housing for low-income individuals and seniors. We also provide guidance on applying for government services and help resolving problems in housing court and landlord/tenant disputes.
Services for Elderly People with Disabilities
We provide outreach to seniors through companionship, personal care, and protection against abuse and neglect, as well as help navigating federal, state, and local government services. We also provide information about government and disability entitlements, nursing home care, assisted living, rehabilitative therapy, home health care, outpatient clinical services, health education, and screenings.
Emergency Information and Referral Services
We provide services such as emergency food, clothing, and short-term housing, as well as help with rent, utilities, and transportation bills for families with children with disabilities who are going through a crisis.
Services for People with Developmental Disabilities
We provide information and referral services for people with developmental disabilities to promote independence and life skills. We help people find supported and assisted living, case management, and protective services.
We provide list of emergency and temporary housing shelters and services to homeless individuals and families.
We provide outreach, direct services, advocacy, and referrals to inmates and detainees to help them become more informed about their care and rights.
